I notice that unlike most snap link products, this does NOT seem to have a screw to tighten it. If I'm correct then for me, that's good. My plan is to tighten all screws to make a RIGID structure, but to allow the last connection to swivel but stay in place. My concern is I'm connecting a lot of parts and it may be too long. I plan to build a mount as follows: Angled diamond base, to a long dual ball arm, to a double female (which may be standard or short, I'll order both) to another long dual ball arm, to this part which will go to my cradle. Note that's potentially THREE 3-INCH SECTIONS from base to cradle. They would form roughly an S shape, as necessitated by the layout in my car.

So four questions: 1) Will this part be tight enough to stay in place, yet swivel freely enough to allow swiveling it from passenger to driver? 2) If I tighten all screws in these three 3-inch sections, (9 inches total which mostly go vertically), will the structure be rigid enough to support Nuvi50 (and cradle) with the exception of the last joint? 3) Will there be much vibration with a lengthy arrangement? (I may be able to get away with a short double arm if there are issues.) 4) How much pivot can I get with this part on a long dua

1) This part will be strong enough to stay in place. The more you move the position of it the GPS from passenger to driver the more wear and tare you will have on the parts. After a while it may not hold as well as new.
2n3) It will be rigid enough to hold the nuvi 50 if you go 9 inches but you will have more vibration amplified down the arm. Also the amount of vibration will be dependent on the vehicle and road type.
4)Each connection point will have 90 degrees of movement.

I would suggest the RAM B balls for you install
