Preset some of my favorites before going to France?

Can I insert my new Benelux/France card and start presetting some of my favorites before I leave for France (for example from CDG airport to our hotel in Arras)?

Yes, when searching points be sure to use the NEAR function in the POI menus. There will be a save button once you find a specific point. Once saved they will show up in the Favorites category in "Where to?" When searching an address be sure to change the county and state/prov.

If you have a compatible unit you will be able to view the maps on your PC. Download Basecamp from Garmin for free. You will need to put the card in the unit and attach to the PC then startup Garmin Basecamp. Click on the maps menu and give it a few minutes and it should start reading the map if everything is up to date. If it works for you, you then can use the PC instead of the unit to do your pre-planning. If not you can do the pre-planning on the unit.
