NT2010 Card used for updating?

Sorry I am new at this, I have a Garmin 255W, this NT2010 card does it update the maps in this unit. Also should this be done every two years or so,I take it I can only use this card once. I love this garmin you never get lost, and i do a lot of driving,may buy one more with the lane change feature: Thank You. ( PS.I ordered this GPS from GPS city just as they were coming on the market.)

Hello Jim,
No this Card is not for updating maps. What you need is an update. Here are a couple of links.

The cards are used for adding maps to units that dont have maps without using the internal memory.
