Can you add Topo maps to this SD card?

I was just given a GPSMAP 62S unit with MN Topo maps DVD and a 4G microSD card, but would like to add the City Navigator North America maps as well. If I get this SD card can you add other maps to it and use any available storage space if I need more than the 1.7G built in memory? Or would I be better off getting the City Navigator North America in DVD form and loading portions of that to the SD card I already have?

Bonus question: will the 62S unit support an 8 or 16G SD card?

No you can not put the Topo maps on to this SD card. You risk the chance of deleting the City map. It is best to load your Topo maps into the 1.7Gb of internal memory. I have tested the 62S with a 8Gb card with no issues. 16Gb depending on the class should work.
