Lowrance Freedom Map F29 for North ON

I have an old Lowrance LMS332C GPS/Fishfinder that I will be taking to northwestern Ontario on a fishing trip in June.

I am looking for either a Lowrance Freedom Map F29 card or an equivalent card.

I have contacted Lowrance and Navionics with the location of the lake:
51-14-44.10 North, 92-45-34.66 West

Neither have anything currently available, and Lowrance does not sell or copy the Freedom Maps any longer.

Garmin does a map on their Canadian Inland Lakes - Ontario but then I need to buy a new GPS/Fishfinder to use the card.

Any help or suggestions will be appreciated.

What is the name of the lake you are going to? I could not verify the lake name with the provided coordinates 51.245583 -92.759628.

You are correct to use a Garmin map you will need a Garmin sounder or chartplotter. Not all lakes are covered on Garmin inland lakes Ontario but Garmin also offers current Topo mapping for lakes that are not covered. Decent Garmin sounders would be the GPSMap 521S or GPSMap 720s to name just a couple.

Jordan: The lake is Woman Lake, and Navionics has dry land at the location. Garmin sent me a screen shot from their Inland Lakes Card and it is a depth map of the lake.

Do you happen to know if these cards actually work in the automotive type GPS units? They show the maps are compatable, but I just do not know if you would actually see the map and at least be able to navigate the lake.

They will work in a automotive GPS but it is highly not recommended. When boating it is always best to use a waterproof GPS that has all the track, route and waypoint features that a nav unit will lack. If you are using the lowrance for your main navigator and you just need to see contour lines and don't need navigation out of the auto unit then a Garmin nuvi will work. Please note that maps wont view as nice and you will not be able to search all marine POI's using a nuvi.
