I'm looking for maps of Great Britain which includes England, Wales and the Isle of Man. Is this the one I want? I've heard common complaints about the maps being outdated. How often are the maps updated? We leave on our trip in May,2012. What does the adapter do that comes with the SD card? With this card can I somehow type a bunch of locations that we're going to into my computer and transfer them so they'll show up as favorites on the Nuvi? If not, is there something you sell that will allow that?

Yes this card will have all of the UK on it for use with compatible Garmin GPS units like the nuvi 40LM. Maps on the card are updated once per year.
You can use the card to find points and save them to your favorites.
the adapter is for fitting it in units with different size card slots.
