Bought nuvi 7 series in Germany 2008 added sd chip for north America map. Works fine. Wondering if I should purchase this chip for updated European map or if there is a newer nuvi model with dramatic changes that I should consider. If I get this sd card and decide to buy newer north American loaded nuvi can I use this European sd chip in it?

I still prefer the nuvi 7XX series over most of the new GPS units. You can buy the map on SD card and put it in the unit for an updated map. Be sure to disable your older map in the map menu.

You may also want to buy the update for Europe that can be downloaded every three months.
