Can TOPO 100K + CNNA be used in layers?

I understand the 100K TOPO maps are NOT auto-routable. If I have the City Navigator North America and the 100K TOPO maps loaded on a Garmin Montana, could I layer both maps on top of each other and use the auto routing?

Using Topo and City Navigator map sets will not display together in layers. To view the Topo map, the City Navigator map will need to be disabled.
Auto routing can still be used by setting and saving a waypoint in Topo and switching the map set to City Navigator.
