How detailed are the city maps ? Does it show street name/number?
I would use it for my Oregon 450 on my mountain bike. I mostly use it for back country but I would like to get directions when I bike in Calgary. Will it work like my nuvi for in town directions?

This software is not meant for city navigation. It will show the street name but can not do an address search and does not have up to date city POI's. However it will follow the roads from point A to point B. To get address directions and up to date POI's in the city you will need Garmin City Navigator NT.
