I recently purchased an eTrex 30 and am now using BaseCamp instead of MapSource which I used with my eTrex Vista HCx. I am also using my TopCanada 2 on BaseCamp. In MapSource detailed countour lines start appearing at map scale 1.5km. In BaseCamp they do not appear until map scale 300m. This is most annoying when you are trying to get a "big picture" view of a track and its surrounding area in BsseCamp. I have searched through Options in BaseCamp but cannot find a setting to change
the map scale at which detail countour lines begin to appear. Is there such a setting?

Unfortunately there isn't an option on the units for adjusting the contour view level. The reason the contours don't show up on a wider zoom level is that the amount of detail would clutter the screen and become illegible.
