I am looking at getting maps for a Garmin Oregon 450. I am a new GPS user and was told that the Topo 100K US didn't have trails on it. Is this true? What is the difference trail wise between this product and the Topo 24K? What is recommended for backpacking and general hiking?

The topo 100k maps will have trails on them but not all. Same with the 24K mapping. It will have some but not all. The 24K maps will have more information than the 100k maps so they would be recommended for use hiking.
