Is Topo Canada compatible with the Etrex Legend C?

I would like to know if my etrex legend c is compatible with topo canada dvd (#010-10469-00) because I found that is only compatible with etrex legend HC. I do not know if HC is different from C only. Did the topo is 1/50,000 map? Thank you

Hello Jasmin,

You can use the Topo DVD with your GPS but you will have one limitation at this time. The memory of your unit is not very large and can only hold a small area. It is recommended to use the software with a unit that accepts memory cards so you are not limited as much. You will be able to load small map areas and manage data with the topo maps. If your unit is the Vista HCX and not the Vista HC, then you will have a memory card and nothing to worry about.

Good day, as per the question of Yesterday, my unit is a Etrex Legend C not a Vista HC. The memory map storage is 24 mb as per the spec. Is it anough for a province like the province of Quebec.

Hello Jasmin,

They are the same, less the sensors, so the limitation applies to it also. 24Mb is not enough to load a large area anymore.
