How many miles or trips will this unit hold until it needs to be moved to the computer?

The number of miles or trips will vary with the logging data interval which is programmable: by time (1 second ~ 30 mins) or distance (2 ~ 65535 meters) and 2MB flash memory for data logging, with 8 bytes binary data per record that stores up to 250K.
The amount of memory is sufficient for most average users and should easily store up to 2-3 weeks of usage without any memory capacity issues.
