Apart from sending out a message every 30 seconds, does it also store the tracks for later download?

I work with a tracking dog, and have been utilizing a two gps system. The track layer takes a gps, and, then, I mount a GPS to the dogs harness and can later see how well they've covered the track.

We also cross train the dogs in air scent, meaning that the dog might be out of visual range working a subject. In this case, a ping every 30 seconds would be acceptable.

Because of this, I've now lost a Forerunner, as well as contributed to a very much shortened life to my Rino 530. So, this unit would be ideal. As long as I can also down the image...

Hello Heidi,

Yes you will be able to look at saved points and track that the GTU-10 sends back to your account.

You may also want to consider a general data logger if you do not need the position in real time. The BT-335 is an option. You can put it in a small fabric bag on the dog. The unit is not waterproof but it is a option.

The GTU-10 should be ready for use up here in Canada closer to the summer. We have a estimated release date of May 1st but that may change as we get closer to that date.
