I just got my GTM 20 for my zumo 665 based on what I read here and I can't for the life of me figure out how it plugs in. There is no plug on my cradle. The GTM 20 has a flat, wafer connector. Where does it plug into? Thnx

This power cable will not plug into the Motorcycle cable but it will fit into the side of the car suction cup cradle. It will only work for use in the car/truck.

And of course, this is for my motorcycle, not the car/truck... I guess I have to send it back now. Any idea why the motorcycle cradle wouldn't have the connector? That just seems weird.

The motorcycle cable is meant to be hardwired to the battery. Not all bikes have the same power ports as a car. You can add your own connector for your bike if needed.

Of course... I can even use my lighter (big Harley), but where would the wafer plug connect? How do I get the signal into the Zumo? That is the question.

I dont understand.

The cable in question works in the car on the car mount only. The bike mount comes with its own power cable.

you said "You can add your own connector for your bike if needed." What do you mean? It sounds like you are saying I can add this to the bike if I add my own connector. What does that mean? The GTM 20 has two connectors. One is for power. Easily solved -- The other is for the input to the zumo. How can I get it to input to my zumo if the cradle does not have an input? What are you saying? Thnx

I was referring to adding a connector to the motorcycle cable so you can plug it in. You will only be able to use the GTM-20 when using the car mount. On the bike you will want to use the more rugged motorcycle cradle and power connection.

Yes, that I know. I have had a zumo 665 with XM on my bike for two years now. I just bought the GTM 20 to add traffic to it based on what I read here that said the GTM 20 is compatible with the Zumo 665. And, this is not the only place that said that. OK, so it will work with the car cradle but not the motorcycle cradle. Unfortunately for me, that was not spelled out. And, as far as that goes, I dont think my car cradle has the connector port on it, either. But, if it does work with the car cradle, one has to wonder why no port exists on the motorcycle cradle.

The car cradle will have the 19 pin connector for power and traffic on the side
