Are you saying the GTM60 is a 3D traffic receiver while the GTM36 is not 3D? What is the actual difference between the two?

Garmin has changed the terminalogy a few times on these products I believe.

The GTM60 is a HD receiver that will get signals within seconds when in the USA. Not supported in Canada. The GTM-60 has the regular service built in for use in Canada with compatible units. HD traffic may be coming to Canada soon. The GTM60 is only compatible with a few units.

The GTM-36 is a regular traffic receiver that will get its signals in a few minutes instead of seconds. It is used by many other units.

It is best to pick the receiver compatible with your GPS and area.
