My Nuvi 660 traffic receiver required a $60/year subscription which I left lapse. The connector broke, its time for a replacement, with purchase of this unit is a suscription required or is that no longer required and it will funtion with my 660 for traffic updates as long as I have it?

The Garmin GTM 20 FM TMC Portable Traffic Receiver Lifetime comes with lifetime traffic so you will be able to use it with your nuvi 660 as long as you have it.
