Transducer for GPSMAP 235 Sounder?

Is this the transducer I need for a Garmin GPSmap 235 sounder? The reason I ask is that Garmin also lists Garmin 010-10192-01 for it (it cost twice as much)and I want to know which I should get?

Hello Nick,

The 010-10192-01 has extra sensors such as a temperature, and water speed sensor (paddle wheel). The transducer you are looking at (010-10272-00) will work fine with your GPS unit if all you need is depth.

IF I want the speed and Temp function will it work with the 235

Garmin's tech support has confirmed that the GPSMAP 235 will display temperature and speed, when connected to a transducer that provides that data.
