I have a RAM RAM-HOL-UN7BU mount. I'm trying to convert that mount to a RAM-HOL-UN7U. Where can I get get the o-ring that's included in the RAM-HOL-UN7U? Can I use the mount without the o-ring?

The o-ring is sold in the package with the RAM-HOL-UN7U but is not necessary when using it in the RAM-HOL-UN7BU.
The o-ring is used when connecting the RAM-HOL-UN7U to the snap link parts.

I'm try to go the other way, convert UN7BU to a UN7U. I would like to go from the ball and socket setup to a snap link setup. I can remove the ball. I just need to get the o-ring. Seems a bit silly to buy a whole new mount to just to get the o-ring.

Do I really need this o-ring to use the mount with snap link parts?

The UN7BU comes with the o-ring installed in the groove of the cradle.

I purchased my UN7BU from gpscity.com. I took the ball mount off of the cradle and there was no o-ring inside the groove. Do you folks sell spare o-rings?
