Universal X-Grip Mounting options, Doug Hughes, Madison CT
I have a Samsung Galaxy SIII in a Casemate case, it measures 5.75"X3.25"X.75". I would like to get the Ram X mount system so that I can have a ball on my motorcycle (2006 Suzuki C50T cruiser) and a suction cup ball in my car (2009 VW Sportwagen) so that I can move it from vehicle to vehicle. Some sites mention a tether for the phone in high vibration applications. Since this is a cruiser do you think that this is "high vibration"? What would a tether look like? Can you suggest a combination of equipment that would accomplish this? I would prefer bar mount (1" bar) over brake reservoir mount. I would also prefer the more robust suction cup over the "light". Since this is something that will be on a bike I would prefer metal over plastic for the mount on the bike and the arm, the suction cup is what it is.

High Vibrations would be mountain biking or similar. You should not need to tether but it wouldn't hurt. Here is what I think will work best for you. /ram-mount-universal-x-grip-lite-suction-mount-ram-b-166-2-un7u.html /ram-mount-steel-u-bolt-motorcycle-mount-base-ram-b-231u.html

Ha, well, if anyone sees this and wonders, TETHER IT. My Galaxy S3 just popped out when I hit a bump the other night (X-Grip mount and everything).
