A few questions.

1. Is this aqua box the right size for the 4.3" Garmin Nuvi 1690?
2. If bigger than 1690 are cushions included for a snug fit?
3. Can this be bolted directly to a Fairing to be more flush?
4. Does this have a way of locking securely to prevent theft?

The RAM-HOL-AQ2 is not large enough to accommodate the Garmin Nuvi 1690.
The correct model would be the RAM-HOL-AQ6, bundled with the u-bolt mount http://www.gpscity.com/ram-mount-waterproof-aqua-box-6-zinc-coated-u-bolt-mount.html.
There is a piece of foam included, to help position the GPS snugly in the cradle.
You may be able to fashion something to mount directly to the fairing, as there are holes in the back of the cradle.
There is spot to add a padlock to the cradle, on one corner.
