I would like to order a nuvi 50lm . Should I go with the us and canada map 010-0091-20 or the lower 48 states 010-00991-21

If you plan on visiting Canada then the one with North America would be the better option. Other than map content they are the same unit. You can always add Canada to it at a future date but that sometimes costs more than buying it preloaded.
