Bought this less than a month ago, downloaded city explorer NEW YORK as we were driving there for holidays,it died on us on the way..pulled out ,checked the power connection, everything seemed to be ok..20 minutes later it started working again,on our way back it died again wouldn't power up,had to drive 25 km in wrong direction and ended up buying a different model from walmart just to keep us going, when checked couple days later it was working and after one of working it died again..very frustrating..wonder what could be the reason....a faulty unit may be.....?????

It sounds like a short in your car power port. Have you tried a different vehicle? It could also be that it is not properly put in the powered cradle. for trouble shooting assistance you will also want to contact Garmin via phone @ 1-800-800-1020. In the meantime I would try a different vehicle to see if the car port is the issue.

Download and run the Garmin WebUpdater.
Installing or re-installing the latest update will fix most issues.
