Can I power my auto pilot, suzuki gauges off the ignition switch, so that they operate only when key is on. Then power up the rest of the nema bus directly from battery source.

I don't want the gauges on while the engines is not running. Save battery life.

Can the power isolator be installed to separate the power source for different section of bus, If so how would it be installed

The isolator is made to isolate two power sources on a NMEA 2000 buss. If you are currently running a NMEA buss and you want to add another power source this Garmin NMEA 2000 Power Isolator will do that job. It just goes inline between T connections to isolate one side of the buss from the other.

You will want to contact your suzuki dealer about powering their system off the ignition. It should not be a problem if you have a fused connection to the ignition. They can verify based on what you own.
