After some testing, Mapquest will not transfer routes or waypoints.
In Google Maps, routes can not be transferred and only the last waypoint will be transferred and will show up in the "Saved" places.
It appears to be an issue with Mapquest in a failure to communicate to the GPS and with Google Maps as not having the ability to do multiple waypoints and routes.

I would suggest using Basecamp to create the routes and waypoints. Basecamp is a free download from Garmin.
