I have the c580 and unfortunately MSN Network which carries the traffic signal is going to quit broadcasting 1/1/12. I really like the c580 but it has one drawback. If the antenna/power-cord was detached from the unit it lost all stored info, and it can take upward of an hour to reload all the needed info to receive the traffic report. I like everything I've heard about the 3490LMT but am curious whether or not it has the same problem.

The GTM-60 that comes with the nuvi 3490 LMt should pick up traffic reports in a few minutes. Here is the blurb from Garmins site "Your compatible Garmin device will route you around accidents, construction and other obstacles up to 10 times faster than traditional traffic receivers."
