I have a Garmin Colorado 400C which has been a life saver while sailing in
the gulf. I woulds like to expand the unit so it could be used on land as
a backup to my TomTom navigation GPS. The TomTom is not really portable
like the Garmin Colorado. The Garmin has a SD card slot, but I haven't found any SD cards with US maps for it. Can you advise on what I should look for?

Yes the Garmin microSD City Navigator North America Pre-Programmed Card will work with the Garmin Colorado. The card comes with a SD adapater for units like the Colorado
