Are city maps for urban geocaching required?

I'm a beginner Geocacher, I'm currently using by car GPS for Urban caching. I'm interested in purchasing a Oregon 550 and going paperless. Do I need to purchase any additional maps or cards?

Hello BBY!

You do need to buy maps separately if you are looking at the Oregon 550. There is a version with Topo maps preloaded but we recommend buying the maps on DVD separately so you can use the maps on your home computer. You can use City Navigator North America NT or Topo Canada. Topo Canada does have urban street data to help you geocache. However the road maps in Topo are not made for address finds.
