Does 60CSx come loaded with topo maps of the USA? I am mainly interested in Oregon, Idaho, UT, WY, CO areas. If not which topo map series will I need to purchase in order to get these areas?

Hello Charlie,

The Garmin GPSMap 60CSx does not come with any detailed maps preloaded. It only has a general base map with highways, major bodies of water, and municipality locations to name a few features.

The Oregon 550T USA will come with Topo preloaded. We recommend buying the Topo maps on DVD so you can plan trips on your PC/MAC.

Hey Jordan, so before I purchase this unit, which TOPO should I purchase to get Oregon, Idaho, WY, Utah, CO etc.?

Hello Charlie,

I always recommend getting the whole country if possible just in case. The cost is about the same. Also always buy the maps on DVD if possible.

The above maps are 1:100,000 scale. There are higher scale versions but they don't cover as large of an area.
