I need a GPS that allows me to enter up to 200 waypoints, give each one a unique name and be able to call up each waypoint and be guided to it. The application is for a 100 mile bike ride with numerous turns and rest stops each one with a unique name.

This unit will hold the waypoints you want but is not recommended for bike riding. A better option would be a handheld GPS which will have much longer battery life and better performance on a bike. I would recommend a Montana or a Oregon. Please note with handhelds, maps are normally purchased separately.

Just for clarification I don't ride - I work a SAG vehicle in conjunction with amateur radio. When I am dispatched to pick up a stranded rider I'm given a location between turns on the course. The critical question is: can the waypoints be assigned a unique name. (i.e. 125L)

You can adjust the names.
