Oregon 450 vs the 62S and the Etrex 30 comparison?

I wanted to find out why the 62S is considered a better GPS than the 450, since it is older? Secondly on the Etrex30, which has a much smaller screen than either of the others, is it that much more accurate, given the Russian satellite coverage, which outweighs the size disadvantage?

The GPSMap 62S is newer than the Oregon Series but older than the Etrex 30. The GPSMap 62S has a Quad helix antenna that sticks out of the top that tends to get better reception than the Oregon series. It will get better reception than the Etrex 30 in some cases but the etrex 30 can track way more satellites. Tracking more satellites gives it a better DOP so the position can be calculated better when there is minimal GPS satellites to track due to canopy, narrow canyons ...
