Before ordering, I emailed Garmin to see if the Etrex H would work for my purpose. After replying that it would, I have ordered one that should be arriving any day. I have downloaded and read the manual but the process isn't at all clear to me. I have about 25 northing and easting co-ordinates for boundry locations on some heavily wooded property I own. I want to know what the boundaries of this 25 acre irregular shaped parcel are. How exactly do I enter the coordinates and then "follow" the Etrex to each location? I see too the manual says the Etrex is only accurate less than 33 feet which is less than I was expecting would be needed to do this task. Is that realistic to expect this GPS to work for my task at hand?

Hello Dave,

to enter a waypoint you just select Mark point from the menu. You can then edit the coordinates. You just need to put in the grid settings for you area. This unit will not be able to do area calculations for your parcels of land. However you can do the area calculations afterwards on a PC/MAC using compatible GPS software such as Basecamp.

Cheers
Jordan
