We are going to hike to find a lake in the bush. We are planning to use the Tracking feature. Would you suggest the tracking feature, planning a route, or wayward points. When is the best time to use these features. Where can I find more information on these features and when they are most purposeful. Thanks, S

The manual and our videos are a good place for infotmation. It is best to use the unit for you will learn it a little quicker and retain the knowledge because you used it in a real world application. I suggest geocaching as the best place to start learning the features of a unit. It is a great community of experienced users.

You will want to save the track log so you have a trail map to the lake. you will be able to follow the trail back to your start location. You should mark a waypoint where the lake is so you can route to it in the field. If you have maps you can even make a route to send to your GPS unit to make the trip easier.
