I have a 2012 Honda Civic
I kinda like how the built in Navi will voice out thru the car's audio speaker system and auto dim whatever song you are blasting out at the same time
I was wondering Can the Garmin Nuvi 3590LMT voice commands be connected to speak out thru the Car's audio speaker?
or I just have to keep my music low when I'm in a unfamiliar area?

Garmin no longer makes a car GPS unit with the ability to output audio to a stereo or other device. They have a outdoor handheld that can be hooked up to the audio jack of your car. The Garmin Montana 650. However it will not turn down or mute your music. It will take over the auxiliary port for your stereo. All accessories with the Montana are purchased separately. Such as maps and a vehicle mount.

There are only a select number of voices that will speak street names. The will indicate whether they do or not in the Language menu, with the text "speaks street names" under the voice language and name.
