Just under a year ago I purchased a Garmin Nuvi 1390 LMT from GPSCity.ca and recently the traffic receiver appears to have stopped working. The car charging cable is working (keeping the unit charged while driving).

I have a few questions ...
Is it possible that a fuse has blown or something is not connecting properly?
What are the chances the cable is covered under warranty within the first year?
If not, can the cable be repaired / replaced at a reasonable cost?
Should I contact Garmin directly?

Warranty for the first year is handled directly through Garmin unless you purchased a extended warranty from GPSCity. In that case we can take care of you. Garmin has warrantied the cable before. Raytech in Quebec does all the Garmin service in Canada. All you may need to do is update your GPS and cable using the free WebUpdater software from Garmin. Give that a try and if that does not help then give Garmin a quick call to see if they have a quick fix for you before getting it replaced.
