Does the Super Grip Dash Friction mount HDFMB-2/WLIP really work with the 5-in. 1490t? Fairly sure I'm getting one as a gift. Heard many conflicting stories about regular nuvi accessories not working with the 1490t. Obviously, I'm not going to squash a 5 in. into a 3.5 case, but what about this mount? Thanks.

Hi malleryn,
Since the Super Grip Dash Friction mount HDFMB-2/WLIP is a universal accessory it works with a variety of products. As long as the suction cup diameter is smaller than the plastic plate, it will work with many models and brands. The Nuvi 1490T has a 1.5" diameter suction cup, which fits very well onto the 2.5" plate.
