I exchanged my month old nuvi 2555 for another just like it. They both freeze up. I try the reset button to no avail. When I turn off the car and the 2555 powers down, it does restart, but will only function for a few moments. I do not have this problem with my older nuvi. What's the remedy for this???

I suggest doing a firmware update on the unit to make sure it is running the most current software. You can download a free program called Garmin WebUpdater to perform the update.

I checked the unit I have and I could not find a reset button. Are you pushing the power button? If you hold the power button in for up to a minute the unit will reboot sometimes if it freezes.
