I am wanting to buy a Montana 650 or 650T. I live in Arizona 6 months a year. I want to be able to use in both countries. On the 650T Topo Canada is installed and I was wondering if i could add Topo USA on the unit as well? ( Without using all the memory) I also want to us a SD card and switch out when in Canada to Backroads Alberta . When in Arizona I would use AZ / New/Mex 24 k maps. Will this unit handle all the mapping or will i be switching it out between counties. I see the 650 has 3 GB memory but the 650T has 3.5 GB What is the best unit for me for this use

It is best to buy all the maps on DVD. You can load all the areas you need onto the internal memory and a memory card. In the T models you can not add any other maps to the internal memory so the extra little bit of space does not help. Along with the maps on DVD I suggest getting a 8Gb card. That should be sufficient for all the areas you have mentioned. You can switch between the loaded maps using the menus of the unit. If you are getting Backroads Alberta you will not need the Garmin topo canada.
