When I call for phone using the voice command .All it comes with is prompt stating the volume is at 80 it dosen't go to the submenu like phone book/address book etc unless we manually tap..

Also not entirely happy with the voice commands as it never understands the name of the place... i find it eaiser to manually type the address in.. any recommendations?

whats the biggest difference between the 3590lmt and the 3490LMT other than the screen size and the thickness? with the 3490 sync with the phone address book?

I did not understand your first question or statement.

To make voice command work better try enunciating the words better. It has a tough time with my voice but if I take my time a try to speak clearly it sometimes works better. I find the older voice command works better that what comes in the new units.

The difference between the 3490 and 3590 is the screen size. You will need to check Garmins site to see if your phone is compatible. you did not mention what model you have
