i recently purchased a Garmin Nuvi 3590LM and I can't get my audible books to play on it. any suggestions? My home computer is a MAC. Not sure if that matters. Thanks for your help!

Are you copying them to the internal memory of the GPS into the folder called 'Audible'? Are they in the format *.aax ?

yes, and yes. the first time i tried it the book i moved showed up in an *.aa format and when I disconnected my device from my computer it didn't appear on the gps, so i saved it as *.aax and the book showed up in my list on my gps, but gave me an error message when i tried to listen to it(I don't remember the message and it only showed up once). Since then, the book shows in my list, but if I choose it it skips to one of the books that was pre-loaded on my gps.

You will need to try downloading your audible books in *.aax format from the site your purchased them from. If you just added a 'x' to the end of *.aa that may not work.

Also make sure your GPS firmware is up to date using the free program Garmin webUpdater.

If you continue to have problems you may need to call for support. The Garmin tech support line is 1-800-800-1020

You didn't provide anymore information that will allow us to help you better.

How did you save the .aa as .aax? Did you just change the name of the file or ?
