Garmin has informed me that the first series of Garmin Tempe sold have a manufacturing defect and should be replaced

You have knowledge of the problem?

It is true that the sensor data is not stored in the gpx file, and temperature data 24h and maximum and minimum were not reflected correctly, but I was supposed to GPS firmware problems and would be solved.

That information has not been shard with us by Garmin. I am unsure but I would assume because it is a problem recording on the GPS unit that a firmware update to the GPS will fix it. I am sure if it is a problem with the tempe Garmin will send out a memo to all dealers on what to do. Nothing so far.

You will need to talk to Garmin at 1-800-800-1020. Unfortunately that information is not shared with us for we are a independent dealer of Garmins products.

its a TRUE problem with the sensor, the max/min data is stored IN THE SENSOR, not in the GPS.

Confirmed by Garmin, IS A SENSOR PROBLEM and is solved replacing the defective units.

The other problem with no data stored in the track file, is solved with a firmware update (6.10)
but the max/min problem is a hardware problem and the dealers that sell the sensor should be informed.

Ok, we will wait to see if Garmin puts out a memo about the issue.

I too have this issue of Min/Max not changing. Have contacted Garmin by Phone, told to remove battery to reset. Contacted by email support & got told it's a software issue & they don't know when they are going to have a fix.
Seems Garmin Support doesn't know what the problem is.
I am starting to think I have spent $32 for a light weight paper weight!
Others on various forums have gotten replacements that fixed the problem, but I have been unable to convince them a replacement will solve my problem.
