The list of supported mobile phones and compatible Garmin devices appears to be seriously outdated and/or incomplete on Garmin's website. Is there any way to determine which TracFone phone is the best match for using with the 3590LMT to take advantage of all the bluetooth features. I am going crazy trying to find this information. This is important for me since when I travel to the States I always use my TracFone in my rented car so handsfree calling is essential. Any additional help or advice would be appreciated.

If all you need to do is make phone calls, then phones with Bluetooth hands free calling will work the same with the nuvi series with Bluetooth. The compatibility issues come with syncing the phone book, text messaging and data services. If you don't need those features then any phone with Bluetooth hands free calling should work fine.

If you want to be able to take full advantage of all services available then you will want to choose a Android phone to use the Garmin Smartlink data services. I did not see any Android phones on the tracFone website. It looks like the model numbers on the site are exclusive to tracfone for the most part. (based on the ones I searched online) I think that is why it is hard to find them in the Garmin database. Garmins database contains the model numbers of phones that have shared models numbers across many carriers and or the exclusive model numbers for major carriers.

To figure out compatibility you will need to contact tracfone and ask them what the model number equivalent is for phones they sell. Then you can use those model numbers in Garmins database to find the best fit. Even then that can not guarantee full compatibility because tracfone may have restrictions or special programming
