Hello, I just purchased the 450T and when trying to download the Canada topo map on my pc I receive an error message when it is about 99% complete. Error message reads
An error occurred during the installation of assembly "Microsoft\VC90.MFC,version=9.0.30729.1
and more. Then it tells me to go to Help and Support for more information but not sure where that is.

You can not copy maps from the internal memory to your computer.

However when the unit is plugged into your computer, the program Garmin Basecamp will display the maps. When you unplugged your GPS the maps will do away.

To use this feature you need to make sure both Basecamp and your units firmware is up to date.

You can update your GPS using Garmin WebUpdater. To update your Basecamp you can download the latest version from Garmins site. Just visit the support section on Garmin.com
