I have checked the garmin site and the original battery is 3.7V whereas yours is 4.2. Is it for sure the original one? Thank you in advance.

This battery is 3.7V. Can you let me know where you saw that it is 4.2V on our site. Lithium ion batteries tend to start at 3.7V and go up in multiples of 3.7V depending on the number of cells in the package. So the next lithium battery voltage would me 7.4V (2 cells), then 11.1 V (3 cells) and so on.

If you enlarge the images on your site under the section "overview" of Garmin DC 30 Battery Replacement you will see the 4.2V that I mention. Thanks for your quick response.

Thank you for pointing that out. That was an old stock photo from Garmin. I have physically grabbed the battery off the shelf and it is 3.7V . The 4.2V is a odd size for a lithium battery. We will get a better picture.
