I have the 531S and have purchased the inland lakes SD card for the southeast lakes. With this card, is auto guidance possible where the actual best route to a waypoint is calculated utilizing channels, etc.

You must use the BlueChart® g2 Vision cards for auto guidance. Basic Inland lakes and regular BlueChart® g2 cards will not give auto guidance. You can still make a route and follow it but you will have to select your points so that you do not run a ground, hit a underwater hazard, drive on land .... Even with BlueChart® g2 Vision you will need to watch where you are going because the GPS maps do not know all. The automatic route it creates should be treated as a suggestion and not the best route.
