Yes the Garmin microSD City Navigator China is compatible with the GPSMap 62S and other handhelds.

You should be able to see the maps in Basecamp while your GPSMap 62S is plugged into the computer. You need to make sure both Basecamp and the unit are up to date.

I have been told by Garmin support service that the microSD City Navigator China is compatible only with NUVI GPS device. It would not be compatible with Montan and other handheld Garmin GPS devices. Could you confirm that it would work with a Montana GPS ?

I have called the Garmin dealer support line on multiple occasions and they have stated it is compatible with the Garmin nuvi's and handhelds.
