Is the transducer included with the 849$ unit a CHIRP tranducer and if not how to I obtain the CHIRP tranducer..thank you

The Chirp transducer is sold separately.

When the chirp transducers are available we will have them on our site so you can order it with the unit. The unit and the transducers are new and have not been released.

The 849$ unit say transducer included..are you sayin the one included is NOT CHIRP..and yes I know neither have been released yet...thanks

That is correct, it is not the chirp transducer in the box.

O.K...so then there is no reason to order the sounder/GPS/transducer package since I think my 50/200 transducer can be adapted at the "plug" end...do you have any idea when the CHIRP transducer will be on the market and roughly what it will cost...and it would be a much better customer relation action if GARMIN would let people know that the extra money they are spending for "regular" transducer in the package is NOT the CHIRP..and thank you for taking the time to answer these questions

In both our write and and Garmins it does state the Chirp transducer is not included. I am sure they will come out with a package that does include it in the future.
