You are selling the 2011 version on the SD card but only the 2010 version on DVD. Is this a mistake? When will the 2011 DVD be available? The 2010 version was released in May of 2009, so should have been replaced by now.

2011.10 has been out for a couple months now. 2011.20 will be out in about a months time. The only way to take advantage of better and more regular map updates is to buy the numaps lifetime subscription.

I am confused as it was unclear that I had the option for a lifetime subscription. I thought the lifetime upgrade was only for maps native on the GPS. I currently have Europe NT 2008 on my Garmin Vista HCx installed from DVD through mapsource. I burn the cards from the PC to load into the Vista. I didn't see a way to upgrade Europe NT 2008 at all. On the Garmin website they don't show an upgrade option on my home page. I thought I had to by a new version on DVD and start the whole process again. My plan was to actually get the DVD and unlock it to my 3790, which would update the PC for planning purposes and I would primarily use the 3790 and keep back level maps on my Vista for walking and no longer for driving. I couldn't find anything on Garmin's website that said it was allowed and I spent a fair amount of time investigating as that would be the preferred option.

As long as it is NT the lifetime maps apply, even for Europe. The maps are locked to your unit so you would need a new copy for the 3790 you are about to purchase. You will need an update for both to keep them at the same version.
