Hello Steve,
I dont personally consider this motorcycle friendly because of the small screen. Others may consider it motorcycle friendly because of the color screen. Color screens make handhelds easier to read than monochrome equivalents. Sldo you can buy street mapping for the unit and get turn by turn prompts.
If you are looking for a good motorcycle friendly GPS that wont break the bank I would try the NUVI 550.

Cheers

I noticed in the lists of specs. a heading for motorcycle friendly and this model was marked yes beside it. I was just wandering if it had any special features over the others. Thanks for the reply. Much appreciated.

Motorcycle friendly means that it is waterproof. I have the eTrex Legend H and use it on my Yamaha Scooter all the time.

Hello Ron,

Thank you for your assistance. We classify motorcycle friendly a little differently. In order to be motorcycle friendly the unit must be able to provide clear voice instructions while you have a helmet on. This can be done through a wired audio system or wireless with bluetooth.

Other units can be used on bikes but don't have the ability to provide safe audio instructions when mounted.

Cheers
