I had my garmin plugged into the car cigarett adapter and it had been working fine. It has now gone blank and doesn't seem to have any power. I've tried plugging into my computer usb port but still nothing. I'm trying to figure out if the gps is blown or maybe just the battery. Anyone ever run into this and fixed?

Thanks

Hello Ron,

The cradle that powers the unit tends break. Have you tested the cradle. Plugging the unit into the USB port of your PC may not charge it. I would try a friends cradle if they have a similar unit. I would also try holding the power switch to the on position for about one minute to see if that forces the unit to reboot. Even if the battery is dead it should power via the car.

Cheers
Jordan
